I use the Amp Clamp. It's great for live use where you want to very quickly install and remove it before/after gigs/rehearsals (it just slides into place, and is surprisingly sturdy/stable). I got tired of inconsistent and sometimes downright crappy mic'ing jobs on my live guitar rig, so now our rider says that I will bring my own mic stand and mic (e906) for my 1x12.

I just wanted to let you know that everything arrived as promised. I wanted to give it a few shows to be able to give it an honest evaluation. And the results of that evaluation is that the Amp Clamp is the most kick ass cabinet mic mounting system on the face of the planet. I have used short boom stands, desktop stand, full size boom stands, and well as the new Audix Cab Grabber, and the Amp Clamp just buries the all of those. I will never go back to regular microphone stands again.
